Many screenwriting schools demystify current industry practices and the business of screenwriting, thereby giving the screenwriter the knowledge and skills that a successful screenwriter needs, from developing an outline, to crafting a full-length feature screenplay, to even selling the script once it’s finished.

Depending on the length and type of a screenwriting program, students can learn to develop an initial script idea into a feature length screenplay in as little as eight weeks, or with a one-year or longer program, walk away with a body of work to begin their professional screenwriting careers.
