Movie directors are the main creative force in the making of movies and films. They are responsible for the vision and style of the movie, and make a wide range of artistic decisions. Together with the producer, the director hires the cast and crew members and works with them on a day-to-day basis. The director must therefore be familiar with all of the technical skills involved in producing a movie, from screenwriting to editing.
