February 2007 - RTA Steering Committee

The RTA Steering Committee convenes to recommend a set of roadway and transit projects for citizens of the region to consider as a ballot measure in November 2007. Steering Committee members examine and explore the issues of equity, shareback, tax rates, maintenance, and regional transit and develop intergovernmental agreements between the region’s jurisdictions.

2006

June 2006 - North Front Range Transportation Summit

This event brought together over 250 stakeholders from around Larimer and Weld County for the purpose making transportation choices. We accomplished this goal by having the participants play a game called, Connections. The participants were asked to spend $1.3 billion dollars in groups of 10 on projects around the region. The results of those 27 table have been summarized as a guiding document in this process. (JUNE 2006)

Fall 2006 - 2035 Regional Transportation Plan

The NFRMPO spoke to over 40 groups and conducted 4 charettes (like the Summit) regarding transporation corridors. (FALL 2006)

December 2006 - RTA Principles Committee

A committee of 12 individuals from around the region convened to create principles that will guide the Steering Committee and Coalition from project selection through the campaign. The (2) two-month process is summarized in the attachment below. read the RTA Principles.
